Description
Located on previously vacant land on Dickman Road, this two story
office building consisted of approximately 2,677 square foot of
ground level office space with 2,677 square foot of basement and
mechanical space.
A
pitched shingle roof building design with wood frame, wood siding
with masonry wainscot veneer, and drywall construction was used
to integrate this commercial building into its residential setting.
In
order to better control cost of construction, Dr. Houghtaling functioned
as his own construction manager, allowing work to be negotiated
with subcontractors and completed under multiple contracts held
and managed by the owner.
